The Club meets regularly for lunch on the first Thursday of each month at the Tattersall’s Club, Tattersall’s Arcade, Queen Street Brisbane. To book, send us an email – rsvp@wwnewcomersbrisbane.asn.au All booked lunches must be paid for unless cancelled by Friday night prior to the meeting. The cost of the lunch is $20.00. If you are new to Brisbane or have recently received a visit from Welcome Waggon, you will be introduced to other members who will make you feel welcome. The Club was founded in 1966 and has provided a forum where lifelong friendships have formed. Yearly subscription is $35.00 and covers the cost of a monthly newsletter. Proceeds of our raffles are periodically donated to worthy community organisations such as Care Flight, The Children’s Hospital Appeal, World Vision, Boys Town and others.
We are not a fundraising organisation but rather provide a Social Club where members enjoy a light luncheon, good company and interesting guest speakers. Each month the Club contributes to a raffle prize and lucky door prizes are often donated by members, all of which help to make it a fun day.
